Aircraft Fire Protection De-Icer System
FPCL were requested to design a bespoke fire proof De-Icer to be used on an Aeroplane.
FPCL used its expertise and knowledge to design a bespoke product to suit this application.
Parts were designed and developed on a 3D CAD system.
Prototypes were created and they passed all testing and trials.
Overview
- Two part protective shield to protect the FR-HiTemp Butterfly Valve
- provides thermal protection up to 300ºc
- ensures all internal parts remain below 100ºc
- FPCL fire protection barrier fabric used internally
- hard exterior shell in two parts
- shells made from non metallic material
- locking inserts in 3 locations
- top sealed with an additional heat resistant coating
