FPCL were requested to design a bespoke fire proof De-Icer to be used on an Aeroplane.

FPCL used its expertise and knowledge to design a bespoke product to suit this application.

Parts were designed and developed on a 3D CAD system.

Prototypes were created and they passed all testing and trials.

Overview

• Two part protective shield to protect the FR-HiTemp Butterfly Valve 
• provides thermal protection up to 300ºc
• ensures all internal parts remain below 100ºc
• FPCL fire protection barrier fabric used internally
• hard exterior shell in two parts
• shells made from non metallic material
• locking inserts in 3 locations
• top sealed with an additional heat resistant coating
